Everyone is concerned about the coronavirus pandemic, and it is important to take precautions to protect yourself, your family, and others. Postponing unnecessary appointments to stay home as much as possible is wise. But if you really need dental care, it is considered essential. While you are at your appointment, you should consider these safety measures.
Wearing Masks
The city of Largo and the county of Pinellas both have mask orders in place. You must wear a face covering when you are in an indoor setting. You should have a mask on when you enter our office and keep it on until the dentist needs access to your mouth. Our staff will also be wearing masks, including during your procedure.
Social Distancing
It is advised that you wait for your appointment in your vehicle and only come into our office when you will be going back for your treatment. If you are unable to wait in your car due to the heat, we do still have our waiting room open. Seats are spaced six feet apart, and you should avoid contact or conversation with others in the room, if present.
You should come to your dental appointment alone if possible, to limit the number of people in our waiting room so that social distancing can be maintained. If you need a caregiver or transportation, we understand that you may need to use the waiting room.
What to Expect from Us
Our staff will wear masks at all times. Because you and your dentist or dental hygienist will be in such close proximity while you are without a face covering, we recognize it is extremely important that we use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). We will also stagger scheduled appointments to minimize the number of people in our office. If you are an established patient, we may be able to have a no contact check-in as well.
If you are in need of dental care during the pandemic, contact us today for a safe appointment.
